General Documentation

Only one recent paystub (dated within the last 30 days) is required. Please make sure it shows your name and the employer’s name. If you are self-employed and do not have a paystub (1099 Form is not sufficient), please provide signed copies of your two most recent years of Federal tax returns. NOTE: If you have changed employers and/or positions in the past 12 months, please provide your exact hire date to ensure we calculate your income accurately.

Valid identification listing your physical address that matches the address reported in the application. Proof of address can take the form of a utility bill, lease agreement, deed of property, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance card, or mail from a government agency. The document must be dated within the last 30 days.

Please provide verification of your current residency status. This includes a copy of your permanent resident card, temporary visitor status documentation, or work visa information.

Provide your valid driver’s license, learner’s permit, or non-driver’s ID card. Valid U.S. Government-issued identification including your picture and proof of current address may also be accepted.

NOTE: If your ID(s) do not list your current residential address (e.g., they list your P.O. Box or a previous address), we will also require proof of address, which can take the form of a utility bill, lease agreement, deed of property, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance card, or mail from a government agency. If providing proof of address the document must be dated within the last 30 days.

Provide a copy of your signed social security card.

Proof of six months’ payment history for alternative credit (e.g., utility bill, cell phone bill, insurance bill) in your name.

Funds used as collateral for the loan must be on deposit and available in your Broadview account prior to loan funding.

If you are adding an Authorized User to your credit card account, please provide their name, email address, Social Security Number, date of birth, and your relationship to this individual. We will require both you and the Authorized User to sign an agreement.

Your most recent credit card statement must include the name of the financial institution, their payoff mailing address, and the account’s current balance. Please provide the full 16-digit credit card account number if the statement does not disclose it.

All applicants on your loan application must be Broadview members prior to loan funding. Visit the member benefits page to review eligibility and establish a membership today. A primary savings account with a $1 minimum deposit is required.

Vehicle Specific Documentation

Please provide a front and back copy of your current title for the vehicle being refinanced, or the current owner’s (i.e., the “Seller’s”) title for the vehicle being purchased via private sale or an independent dealership.

The original title for the vehicle being refinanced is needed to complete our lien filing. You may drop the title off at any Broadview branch or mail it to: Broadview, Attn: Titles and Liens, 700 Patroon Creek Blvd., Albany, NY 12206.

IF YOU MAIL THE TITLE: Be sure to send it via certified mail and provide Broadview a tracking number. This will allow us to finalize the refinance prior to receiving the physical title.

A new title will be mailed directly to the owner at the address on record after the refinance is complete.

If the original title is not currently in your possession, the Certificate of Origin or a temporary registration may be used to validate vehicle information. If providing a temporary registration, please include a copy of both the front and back. When you receive the title with the previous lienholder listed, you are required to provide it to Broadview after your loan is funded.

If financing a vehicle that does not have a title (e.g., dirt bike), please provide a front and back copy of the vehicle registration.

This document lists all optional equipment included in the vehicle package. An original factory invoice or list of options signed by the dealership (or published on the dealer’s website) is also acceptable.

This document must include the year, make, model, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), current mileage, and purchase price, along with the dealer/seller’s full address and signature. Also, when applicable, it must include your trade-in vehicle information.

This document is required for a lease buyout. The leasing company requires a signed odometer disclosure along with the payoff. Capture the vehicle’s current mileage and your signature on the document.

This document is needed when refinancing your current loan with Broadview and is provided by the current lien holder (e.g., bank, leasing/financing company). The letter may be accessible online depending on the financial institution. It must include the year, make, model, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), financial institution information (name and payoff payment address), account number, and 10-day payoff amount with per diem (daily finance charge).
