Broadview in the Community supports nonprofits so they’re better equipped to fulfill their missions in the communities we serve. Charitable giving is directed to 501(C)(3) organizations with the following priority funding areas and priority populations.
Priority Funding Areas
Priority funding areas are needs in the community that Broadview prioritizes when considering community investments.
Food Insecurity & Hunger – Community development initiatives that provide access to healthy and nutritious food for individuals and families.
Health & Well-Being – Nonprofits that help support behavioral, mental, and physical health, as well as programs for individuals with disabilities.
Homelessness & Affordable Housing – Organizations that help individuals and families find and stay in stable housing or provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent affordable housing programs.
Safe Communities – Initiatives that keep people safe including supervised afterschool and summer programs, domestic violence intervention and other anti-violence programs, among others.
Positive Development – Community programs that recognize and enhance the strengths of individuals through education, mentorship, workforce readiness, and other initiatives to elevate their well-being.

Other Grant Considerations
Special Requests – On occasion, Broadview may be asked to provide support for a local effort that does not align fully with its giving criteria. These requests will be evaluated on their merits and community impact.
Event Sponsorships – Preference will be given to investments in programs with measurable outcomes, but all requests for event sponsorship will be evaluated case-by-case. To be eligible, the organization's mission should align with the priority funding areas listed above and serve at least one of the priority populations.
In-Kind Giving – Through Broadview's signature giving programs, items are donated to nonprofit organizations to help support their ability to fulfill basic needs. Examples include supplies for homeless shelters, winter outerwear, hygiene kits, and cleaning supplies.
