Celebrating Give 716 by Investing in the Communities We Call Home

Every July 16, Western New York turns generosity into action through Give 716, the region’s largest day of giving. Named for Buffalo’s 716 area code, the campaign transforms hometown pride into meaningful support for hundreds of local nonprofits.
Powered by the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Buffalo Sabres Foundation, Give 716 brings people together around a simple idea: when a community gives as one, its impact reaches further.
In just 24 hours, donors are connected with more than 500 nonprofits working to meet the region’s needs. Since launching in 2021, Give 716 has raised nearly $6 million from almost 30,000 donors, benefiting 944 charitable organizations.
This year, that momentum continued as the event raised a record-breaking $1.87 million and Broadview was honored to be part of that momentum, standing alongside neighbors, donors, and organizations committed to a stronger Western New York.
For Broadview, that commitment is rooted in the credit union philosophy of people helping people. This year, Broadview pledged $45,000 in charitable support to organizations that bring that philosophy to life every day by strengthening families, fighting food insecurity, empowering individuals, and providing critical services.
FeedMore WNY is one of seven nonprofits Broadview is supporting this year. FeedMore WNY provides food assistance and support services for children, families, veterans, older adults, and individuals with disabilities facing hunger across Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties.
“We hit our Give 716 match goal, and it was FeedMore’s most successful Give 716 campaign since the original 2021 event," said Chief Development Officer Cait Evans. “We couldn't have done this without Broadview. We continue to be incredibly grateful for their support and are proud to call them a partner. Their tangible support of the Western New York nonprofit community continues to lift us all.”
In addition to FeedMore WNY, Broadview also supported the following local nonprofit organizations during Give 716:
At Big Big Table, Western New York’s first pay-what-you-can café, guests are welcomed with restaurant-quality meals served in a space rooted in dignity, inclusion, and the belief that Everybody Eats. Everybody Gives. Everybody Matters.
At Compass House, young people ages 12 to 24 experiencing homelessness or crisis find emergency shelter, case management, and individualized support designed to help them move toward safety and stability.
Feed 716 helps put meals within reach for neighbors who need them most. In partnership with Friends of Night People, meals are prepared centrally and distributed through community partners across Buffalo’s East Side and Riverside neighborhoods.
PUNT Pediatric Cancer Collaborative
The PUNT Pediatric Cancer Collaborative supports families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer from diagnosis through recovery and, when needed, through the experience of loss. Through its six distinct programs and close collaboration with hospital psychosocial teams, PUNT ensures that resources are directed where they are needed most.
In Buffalo’s historic Masten District, the Resource Council of WNY serves as a vital community hub and haven, creating opportunities for thousands of youths, families, and seniors through programs that respond to evolving community needs.
For more than 150 years, YWCA Western New York has helped move the region forward by advancing racial justice, empowering women, and supporting individuals and families facing systemic barriers.
Each of these organizations shows the power of Give 716 in action. Together, they reflect generosity, compassion, and resilience, all of which define Western New York. Each investment helps that spirit reach more people, families, and neighborhoods.
