Broadview Announces Amy Krause and Quinnika Richardson as Why I Care Award Recipients
April 21, 2026
Broadview is proud to announce Amy Krause and Quinnika Richardson as the latest recipients of the Why I Care Award. This award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to community service and have inspired others through their volunteerism and leadership.
Amy Krause, Senior Member Service Associate at Broadview, brings empathy and generosity to both her volunteer efforts and her daily work with members. Actively involved with organizations such as Broadview Cares, the American Cancer Society, and South End Children’s Café, Amy lives by a simple philosophy: “See a need, fill a need.” Her thoughtful actions consistently create meaningful moments of care for those she serves.
Quinnika Richardson has turned personal loss into a powerful source of healing for others. She is the founder of DRE’S Safe Place®, Syracuse’s first interactive wellness center built around its signature pillars: Release. Relax. Rejuvenate. Connect. The center offers immersive, hands-on experiences designed to help individuals process what they're carrying, release internal pressure, and reset both mentally and physically. It serves as a space between calm and crisis where people can let it out, clear their mind, slow down, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling lighter, without having to say a word.
