The Albany Business Review is celebrating the award’s 20th anniversary by naming 60 local companies representing a variety of industries, as “2023 Best Places to Work.” These organizations are being recognized for building a workplace in which employees feel engaged and energized. This year was the first time Broadview participated in “Best Places to Work” as a unified organization.

Based on employee votes and feedback, Broadview was named one of the “Best Places to Work in 2023” in the large company (100+) category.

“This award is significant because it reflects how employees feel about their workplace and distinguishes organizations as one of our area’s top employers. We’re grateful to the Albany Business Review for creating a platform to celebrate local companies that put their people first,” said Broadview CEO Michael Castellana.

Broadview is a people-first financial institution dedicated to empowering employees, providing best-in-class products and services to our members, and strengthening our communities through investments and volunteerism.

Most notably, Broadview takes great pride in our employees and leaders who have worked hard to integrate our cultures and teams, incorporate and improve our product offerings, and begin to lay the foundation of a reimagined organization that will remain one of the Best Places to Work for years to come.

In total, 107 companies submitted nominations to be included in this year's program. Winners were selected based on data collected by Albany Business Review’s partner, Quantum Workplace of Omaha, Nebraska. Quantum surveys the employees of nominated companies. A significant number of employees need to complete the surveys — and rate their workplace highly — for companies to qualify for the award.

“Our workplace is more than where we go to earn a paycheck. It’s defined by the pride we show in the work we do, the connections we make with colleagues, the support we provide to our community, and the joy we feel when we help people meet their goals or find hope for better days ahead,” Castellana said. “Knowing our employees share those sentiments and value their contributions is truly the greatest reward because when businesses and their employees thrive, we all benefit.”
